No problem! Then definitely Fairy Tale you must watch, although watch the other suggestions as well.

Heeyy welcome to the world of anime^^ enjoy it and your time on AC!

Anyway good animes? that depends on what you search for in a good anime, I suggest to start with bleach and naruto if you like fantasy and action.

ick... why suggest anime with HORRIBLE fillers ? At least teach them what a filler is and how to google episode guides so they can avoid the things.

I started anime watching inuyasha its.... repetitive later on.
Second anime, the one that got me hooked, was Rurouni Kenshin.
It was held as the best anime ever made for some time.. if it isn't still.
Samurai X which is the story of his past may be what everyone referred to but it's pretty gruesome if you're not used to that sort of thing. RK anime on the other hand is made for a younger audience so it's not nearly as bad as Samurai X OAV is.

If you want an anime that's very emotional, go for Kanon.

Naruto Bleach are okay but i got bored with them quickly. One Piece is also really good. Problem with these as I said above are the fillers, Naruto's are excruciating. Bleach has an entire story arc that's a filler and one piece has some. Highly recommend google searching episode guides for those series give the fillers a shot if you want but be prepared for them to be horrible.

yeah i would definitely agree with keke about the bleach and naruto, they have a lot of really bad fillers throughout the entire series. but they are good series that aside (well bleach's first arc was pretty good anyways)

i don't remember the samurai X being particularly dark, if it was a little sad though. i wouldn't recommend it unless you have seen Rurouni Kenshin

Maybe you should try SAO, it's hard to go wrong with that, but it really changes after season 1A (ep 1-14) and GGO is more of a seinen, with more violence and fanservice. If you want to cry then maybe Anohana (in retrospect, a weird name if you speak spanish) Wolf's Rain is good but violent and kind of overdramatic. There are plenty of good ones out there.
