No, no, not silly at all!
[sighs] A song after mine own heart. ❤
I love it! ^^

I know I'm not perfect, everybody makes mistakes.
(I'll admit, I have said "question" before actually -asking- the question in the past. xD)
But I'm quite proud that I know the difference between "there", "their" and "they're".
I see A LOT of people on Facebook who make that mistake.

Anyway, since you gave a song about words, I'll give you another nerdy sort of subject. ^^"

Yeah, and you want to know big factors to the problem? Text messaging. Instant messaging/chat. Text talk. Unnecessary abbreviations. And don't forget all those teachers who lower the passing grades so that passing an English class is a breeze.

Seriously, I find myself feeling this way frequently.

Ahaha...a lot of the issues in this music video are pretty good...now if only the grammar used throughout it were used more properly. xD

Yeah I think instant messaging is part of the problem for some. However there are plenty of people who do these things and use grammar just fine.

I think if people read more books they would pick up the grammar naturally. That's how I learned anyways, not in school which doesn't even teach correct grammar till you get into college courses here.

But yeah after the last video I posted the Lazyboy one has trouble holding up

True, true. I mean, I can use lol and wtf and such from time to time as well as use silly geek speak, like woot and sorries and kitteh, and still sound credible and fairly intelligent. (At least, I think so... o.o Stfu, geek speak is cuuute! ^^;; )

Books? How many kids do you know today that actually enjoy reading? Twilight books aside... it seems that kids today are more entertained by all the wrong things. They think of books and reading as work.
Although I honestly think that if they included stuff like The Hobbit and Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy as required reading, that kids wouldn't view reading as such a chore, but maybe actually enjoy it.

I've read the hobbit while in school and I thought it was amazing. Although I saw the Lord of the Rings movie first before reading the book and couldn't finish it. I do enjoy reading some books here and there these days.

Yeah not many people read a lot anymore. Sad thing it's not just kids, I've met plenty of people in their 30's that don't read anything but the back of food labels when shopping.

Sure they will watch the news and by all means good workers and nice people. But they sure aren't well read, and it shows in the way they write and speak.

I find it disturbing when I listen to someone three times my age and I have to stop to tell them "no that's not it, you got it way wrong" because they just are spewing out what they've heard others say, just like some of the kids I knew in school. (well I guess those kids do have parents)

Someone needs to show them that Television is a Drug video I showed you. :P
And while they're at it, they can also tell them to turn the damn television off and go crack open a book.

I understand that last part all too well. Nobody else seems to have a mind of their own anymore. It's like they have a complete lack of critical thinking skills. It's sad to admit, but my mother is a perfect example of this. To this day, I truly believe that there -had- to have been some sort of a mix-up at the hospital. -.-

Haha that video was cool, i totally saved it after you showed me, it was too good to pass up. The Hobbit was awesome too (another book no one will pick up anymore now that there is a movie). It was one of the first I finished on my own as a kid.

That and WaterShip Down that was a really cool book, I haven't thought of it in forever in fact.

Yeah and I think we've all had a least a moment or two like that with our parents before Erika

I may buy a tablet in the future for reading some books and for school books when I go back. I believe saving my back is the only good thing that comes from tablets.

Other than this type of underground music, I largely enjoy japanese music. About six years ago I saw FLOW perform live at AnimeFest. I may be wrong on my time frame, but time does go by fast. Also have seen Nirgilis perform live at the convention as well.
