I'm looking for an anime to watch, but I can't find anything that's not obnoxious or overly-dramatic...I'm looking for something with romance, but not so much that it's nosebleed inducing, well, maybe a little. :]

Any suggestions? o.o

Try RomeoxJuliet
it's a little hammy and over the top, but it's still pretty good... and it's not nosebleed inducing, but it's still sappy

sinc u said romance id say one piece, but that isn't really the romance you are talking about.

so... i can't think of much off the top of my head, ai yori aoshi wasn't too bad i didnt think. can't recall if it was one of the nose bleeding things. check out Kanon. its a good show, though it is sad but it ends quite well. took me watching it 2 or 3 times to fully get what was going on.

@Lotus Elfen Lied is definitely not nosebleed inducing, at least not for me, but it was a pretty awesome anime. :D lol

@Keke I'll have to check out Kanon then, sounds cool from your description. I've always been one for in depth anime, Lain being one that I still don't understand completely...

@Hope Hmm...RomeoxJuliet definitely sounds like a romance. :] lol I'll look into that one as well.

Thank you for the suggestions.

yeah. in 9th grade a friend of mine recommended it to me because of all the about the 6th I didn't care at all about it. It's a great story. I sobbed the entire last episode.

That last episode was pretty sad, I probably would've cried too if it weren't for the fact that most movies don't make me cry. I have to say though...some parts of that series were pretty messed up. lol

You can try Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle. I'm watching it right now and its pretty good so far. The story is interesting but man the series has some awesome music.

the only romantic anime i ever got suckered into watching was KashiMashi Girl meets Girl...

its good plus to stay away from it being to sappy it borders on comedic...

Tsubasa is pretty good, good humor at times, innocent romance.
Elfen Lied is for the sick and twisted romantist, it has it's flaws but still a great watch.
Kanon is a good one, quite a bit of well placed humor with supernatural characteristics going on.
Even better than Kanon but on a similar path -
Klannad - almost like the uber version of Kanon, great story, every episode is interesting, tons of character development all over the place, alternate paths into oblivion, it's insane.
Fate/Stay Nights - An interesting tale of epic battles between famous warriors from history in modern day, with a big slice of subtle romance leading to a big climax.
