Kanon (2006)

Postby KeKe » January 10th, 2008, 9:58 am

So yea I'm watching this and I have to say I didnt know anything about it at first just heard it was good. I thought it was just going to be some craptastic school drama thing... but its really good. Not what I was expecting at all. I'm only on episode 14ish right now so no spoilers.. though I will be done with it probably by the time anyone else posts to this. I have t say If there was a girl I had to choose in it.. I think I would go with Mai.

Kanon (2006) is awesome... gotta love Kyoto Animation for the great animation. Next time you doubt a series see if Kyoto Animation did it and if they did it's mostly made of win.

As long as the ending wasn't completely shit. I try to avoid that.

I better avoid this anime too.

I was watching Kanon recently too (actually I got up to ep 12 but the Jap link didn't work - error 404 -, already posted in forums), and I kind of like it. I thought the same thing as KeKe did, but it's like, rather good. The Japanese never cease to amaze me with the stories they have, I guess it must stem from having a culture as old as theirs. Anyway, this series actually made me shed tears, and that's not very easy (granted I drank too much, so my self control was lower than normal [makes more excuses]). The animation is smooth and smexy, the characters seem natural (an advantage of hearing people speak in a language that you don't speak). It's good to know that it has a happy ending, and I'm looking forward to being able to watch all of the episodes. On forums for some Otaku sites, they say that this series is like a Baptism for Otaku, so, yeah.. Now I see why. Good story and great animation = awesomeness.

A good series that didn't leave me asking thousands of questions like Neon Genesis Evangelion did (btw, is anyone else interested in seeing The End of Evangelion Movie on this site? ^^)

And finally, one more w00tie w00t w00t for Kanon. I look forward to watching more of the new anime that appear on this site (i've watched... a lot of them now | geek + no life = lotsa anime).

Dam, that was a great anime! The mystery keeps you watching, and the answers keep you crying. I loved it, thx for the post keke, if you hadn't i'm sure I never would have watched it. That's the second really good series I watched that I otherwise wouldn't have if not for your post.
